OnePlus Loop VR: The Affordable VR Beast?

With the much awaited release of the next iteration from OnePlus, the OnePlus 3 is slated to be showcased on June 14. The company decided do to something over the top by launching the device from the space-station. The device will be broadcasted in virtual reality and will be live from the space-station. To avail such experience to users, OnePlus with collaboration with AntVR threw in a new VR Headset dubbed as OnePlus Loop VR.

The headset was available from amazon with the flash sale on June 3 and 7 for a price of Rs.1 (Rs. 40 extra as Shipping Charges) but faced some hatred as people were not able to buy it majorly. Fortunately, we were able to get it so we are here to give you our thoughts on that. The headset is of plastic material but a super fine plastic and feels so premium while using as if it is much costlier than its original price, that is 300(INR). The box contains the headset, a lens cleaner, documentation and a separate elastic strap to attach with the headset for the comfortable grip, when you are wearing the loop VR. Lenses are square with rounded corners and of very nice build quaity. The VR best works for 5-6 Inch devices and will showcase the OnePlus 3 on June 14 in virtual reality.

The only problem we think with this OnePlus attempt in Virtual Reality is that it doesn't contain any button or magnet whatsoever, for interacting with the device while attached with it. This thing is sometimes irritating as you have to take your device out to select things at intervals.

Well, we have a hack here: If you own this headset and are facing the same problem as we did, then you can use 2 small magnets, 1 at the outer body of the headset and 1 parallel to it inside of the headset and you are good to go. It will work as a selector and interactor to device.

Avoiding the button, this headset is amazing for virtual reality experience and is a pure beast with quality and performance, the build is superb and you can use it with almost any device running Android/iOS.

Words Of Caution - !!Use it at your own risk, neither this post, website or admins are responsible for any damage caused to your headset or device!!
