Google Pixel & Pixel XL System Images Leaked

After Evan Blass had leaked Google Pixel's build.prop file a few months back,  MaximusHD ROM developer and popular HTC leakster LlabTooFeR has now leaked the complete system images of both the Google Pixel and Pixel XL, which were announced in an event on October 4.

System images are the firmware files of the operating system a device runs. They are used by developers to modify the contents of the device to the core. In certain cases, some of the contents of the firmware files, may be ported over to run on other devices as well. That's why these system images are extremely handy for people who love Android to the core and would like to modify their devices as per their liking.

Both the system images, which are linked down below, are system dumps of the Pixel smartphones that will be sold by Verizon. The archives linked below contain the following:

• boot.img – kernel
• system.img – A system partition that contains main apk and jar files
• system_other.img – B system partition that contains odex files

As we had reported to you earlier as well, the Pixel smartphones will be running Nougat 7.1 with build number NDE63H. The system images leaked by LlabTooFeR have the same build number. We have summarised the key info from both the system dumps below for you:

If you can't make out head or toe of what's written above, don't worry, we are here to help you out. In short, both the Pixel devices will come with the latest Nougat 7.1 along with the October 5 security patch. Both the devices will sport a fingerprint scanner and will have the build number as NDE63H, just as we had described above.
