HTC Bolt to come with Snapdragon 810, 5.5" WQHD, sans headphone jack

Based on leaks from LlabTooFeR on Twitter, we had reported to you a while back that the HTC Bolt will be running HTC's Sense 8.0 UI based on Android Nougat out of the box. LlabTooFeR is back with another leak now.

Known internally as Acadia, the HTC Bolt will be sporting a 1440p Wide Quad HD screen and will be running Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 which was launched way back in 2014. Considering that HTC has gone ahead with the two year old Snapdragon 810, all we can expect is that they do include native support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 technology. The Bolt will be exploiting Snapdragon 810's capability of recording 4K videos as well with the help of it's 18-MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture along with the 8MP front camera.

Talking about leaks, Evan Blass is in the same business as well. Blass had leaked out Acadia's renders a few days back. Zooming in on the side view images, you can clearly make out that HTC has gone the Apple way and has washed it's hands off the headphone jack for the Bolt. To listen to music via the headphones, you will now have to buy a pair of USB Type-C headphones. HTC’s BoomSound will be available on the device, but only via the headphones and not via the speaker at the device's bottom edge.

Further looking on, the front facing speakers are gone as well. Even Google's Pixel phones lack the popularly demanded feature. God knows what are device manufacturers up to these days, no headphone jacks and no front facing speakers. Huh!

Also to be seen on the sides are the volume rockers and the groovy power key. The Bolt is expected to come with 3GB of RAM and with 64GB internal memory onboard, which can further be expanded using a microsd card.
