Moto G4 Nougat Update Created Big Confusion!
Four days ago, we had told you about the Nougat Soak Test is running in Brazil in this post. And 2 days after it, someone posted the link for the Release Notes on Moto's India Page. Well, this link is so legit (and really is) which made every Moto G4 user in India think that the official Nougat is rolling out. And we can't really blame them as very minute number of Indian users got the OTA of soak test and the zip file was out to everyone and people started flashing that OTA zip to get upgraded to Nougat without realizing that it still is a Soak Test thing.
The Release Notes page has been prematurely posted to the site as it was intended to be posted once the official OTA goes out. Leading this the Moto G4 Forum got new threads popping up day by day. But here, Motorola Moderators made a big mistake of outraging on people instead of making them understand about the real situation that is going on. Moderator name MATT even started banning users who asked about it. This was a very irresponsible move by the forum manager and starting today other forum managers have started telling the situation to people and are trying to compensate the mistake.
But the confusion started growing as every other tech sit, blog etc started posting about the official update rolling out in India with referencing the Release Note page. While Android Police tried to confirm the thing and went ahead asking Moto about the issue on Twitter and got the reply.
The tweet clearly states that Nougat is not yet out for G4, it was just a Soak Test went out to some users and that was captured and flashed by many other users. While we at AndroGuider advise our readers from Moto G4 family to wait for the official OTA (being it even Soak). The official update must be in the making after this soak test going on and Moto might announce it another way now as the Release Notes have been prematurely posted.
