Google Play Music gets a 'Refreshed Look'

Google Play Music is a platform from Google which gets some makeover after some long intervals and the next one is here! With version 7.0...... (Bla! Bla! Bla!) Just kidding, 7.0.4005-1.J.3466850 (40051) is the version which brings many interface and functionality changes to Google Play Music!

Once you get on this version (which is by the way rolling out through the Play Store now or through APK☺), you'll notice a new homescreen that welcomes you as seen in the image above. Let's talk about what's more in this version - 

This time there is a smarter and more contextually aware recommendation engine, an enhanced and optimized caching system for offline playback. Bonus in the same context goes with the better music suggestions.

Smarter Recommendations

Smarter Recommendations is a self explanatory term that will keep a check on your listening history and then with the help of machine learning will provide you the music of your taste and liking!.What's more to this is that some factors are kept handy to personalize the recommendations like Location, Weather, Time etc. For example, if you are at a place which is known for some happening stuff and is crowded with, you'll be recommended some party themed songs to rock the place.

Interface Changes

Interface change is the key thing to note in this update, There's a row at the top for your recently played music. Other than that we have some tracks, radio stations, and full playlists based on what have you been hearing in the recent past which is updated with time.
                          

Offline music cache

Google has had this feature in Play Music earlier as well, but that has always been subject to bugs. And now with this updated version, the team has improved it alot.

The new and improved "Offline storage mechanism" stores music based on your recently played music so that there's an easy access to those recent tracks when you go offline.

Well, the update is now out and if hasn't arrived to you then don't worry! You can sideload it from the APK above, it is in our knowledge that this update is a server side one but being on the latest version increases your chance to get the new changes ASAP.
