HMD Global launches Nokia 6


One of the most highly anticipated return of a legend smartphone brand is finally here. Finland based HMD Global that owns the rights to use Nokia's brand on mobile phones have launched Nokia 6, marking the return of Nokia branded smartphone after a gap of almost three years.

The Nokia 6 sports a premium slim aluminum unibody design with "highest level of visual and structural quality" and packs impressive set of specs. The phone runs Google's latest Android Nougat OS and has a home button embedded fingerprint sensor. It also has dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

The Nokia 6 has a 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution wrapped in 2.5D Gorilla Glass, laminated together with a polarizer layer for excellent sunlight readability. Inside there is an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor mated by 4GB RAM, and has storage capacity of 64GB. 

It packs 16MP phase detection auto-focus rear camera and 8MP front camera, and 3000mAh battery. Other features include dual amplifier speakers with Dolby Atmos support, 4G LTE, microSD card slot and dual-SIM slots.

The Nokia 6 will be sold exclusively in China through online retailer JD.com for 1699 Yuan ($246 | Rs, 17,430 approx.) in early 2017. HMD says more Nokia branded Android smartphone will release in H1 2017.
