Google seeks your help creating a better Pixel this year

The first ever made by Google smartphones finally came out last year as the Pixel and Pixel XL. Google's phone was well received by the media and enthusiasts and almost everybody who got the device in their hands sang praises, ready to overlook the few flaws because the phone offered excellent screens, good performance, great build quality and a clean Android 7.0 Nougat experience. But no smartphone is perfect, and Google clearly understands its Pixel wasn't either. So, Krishna Kumar, Product Lead for the Pixel family, took to the Pixel community forums to seek feedback on the current generation of Pixel devices that could help in designing the next Pixel.

In a post on the Pixel User Community board titled "Chamfers, cross-hatch patterns and deep blue - obsessing on Pixel's design," Krishna Kumar, posed four questions to forum members: “What do you like about the design? What do you hate about it? What did we get right? What would you like to see us improve?”

There's no guarantee that your suggestions will be listened to but there's no harm in voicing your opinion on an official platform. So far the most common suggestions seem to be smaller bezels, stereo front-facing speakers and water-resistance. Unsurprisingly some users have also requested Google to have enough stock supply. If your suggestions revolve around the same ideas though it would be a good time to go and let them be known, Obviously the more Google hears about something being asked for, the more likely they are to implement it.

One of the complaints about Pixel is also the generic, uninspiring design and believe it or not, there was a lot of work that went into its design. The post highlights the various difficult decisions Google's design team had to make “from the design team endlessly obsessing over the angle of the phone's edges and its feel in hand, to the texture of the power key, to color selection and cheeky names - and some of the choices and trade-offs that went behind the Pixel design!”
CNet has an article that covers this exhilarating process about how the Pixel team went about its design. If you wish to let your opinion be known to Google on the community forums, click on the source link below.

What are your major suggestions for the next Pixel? Carrier availability? Price cut?
