Nougat 7.1.2 Beta Adds March Security Patch & Fingerprint Gestures To The Nexus 6P

Google had started rolling out the second iteration of Nougat 7.1.2's beta builds just a few hours back. One of our avid readers has tipped us that the latest beta build brings the fingerprint gestures to the Nexus 6P. The same has been confirmed by various leading tech portals.

Nexus 6P's counterpart Nexus 5X had received the same feature in one of it's Nougat 7.1.1 beta builds. The 6P users were left disappointed when the fingerprint gestures feature was not included in the first beta build of Android 7.1.2. Addressing criticism, Google has now finally made the feature available to the Nexus 6P users too. The feature can be accessed from the 'Moves' menu under Settings.

The latest beta build carries the build number NPG471 and weighs 194.6MB. We can also confirm that the update consists of the latest March 5, 2017 security patch.
