Honor 6A Launched With Android Nougat In China

Honor has launched another budget smartphone- the Honor 6A! Currently, it has only been launched in a few Chinese cities. The phone offers us a sturdy and durable metal case while still maintaining a low price. Honor 6A will be available for preorder at Vmall.com and JD.com from Thursday onwards. This phone is available in different colors like Gold, Silver, Blue and Pink.

Now coming to its features, it has a 5-inch (720x1280) HD display and is powered by an octa-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 SoC which is accompained by a Cortex-A-53 CPU and an Adreno 505 GPU. Honor 6A is available in two variants- 2GB RAM with 16GB inbuilt storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB inbuilt storage, both of which can be expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD Card. Although, it has a Hybrid SIM Slot.


In the camera department, it has 13MP of rear camera with a 28mm 5P lens (PDAF, phase detection autofocus, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detectionwith LED flash and 5MP front camera. 

Honor 6A runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with EMUI 5.1. It is powered by a 3020 mAh battery which can provide up to 12 hours of continous video streaming and up to 57 hours of music playback. For connectivity, the smartphone comes with Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth (v4.1), GPS, GLONASS, apart from the 4G LTE support. Some of the sensors include- an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, a compass and a rear mounted fingerprint sensor (For security purposes).

In India, the device is expected to be launched in the first week of June. The expected price of this smartphone for 2GB RAM with 16GB storage is Rs 7,000 and for 3GB RAM with 32GB storage is Rs 9000.
