Verizon Galaxy Tab S2 Is Getting Nougat 7.0

It's been nearly ten months since the release of Android Nougat 7.0 in August last year and there are many devices which are receiving the Android 7.0 update now. Verizon's Galaxy Tab S2 is one of them. The American carrier has begun rolling out Android 7.0 to it's Galaxy Tab S2. This update comes just days after T-Mobile had updated their variant of Galaxy Tab S2 to Nougat.

The build number of the update is NRD90M.T818VVRU1BQE1. Apart from including the Nougat features like multi-window, doze and bundled notifications, the update also includes Samsung's customized skin of Grace UX on top of Android 7.0. Grace UX includes a battery management page with the use of which you can switch between different battery saving modes to prolong your tablet's battery life. Using App Power Monitor, you can detect inactive apps and hibernate them. This update also enhances the in-built camera application with an effect preview screen and keyboard with better language predictions.

If you own the Verizon Galaxy Tab S2, you will be receiving an OTA notification about the update soon. Verizon recommends you to ensure that your tablet is fully charged before installing the update.
