Everything You Can Expect Off The Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro

In the previous weeks we have heard a lot of things about the upcoming Huawei Mate flagships, the Huawei Mate 10 and the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, and as I am writing this article they are actually being revealed and everything about them is becoming clearer.

What are we expecting?

What we are expecting nothing but a great product. The main reason is that Huawei have done so much to get to the place in the market that they are in today. I mean if we are going to talk about 3 years ago, if you heard the name Huawei you would have expected some Chinese Android phone which isn't good, but now when we say Huawei we are talking about one of the big devices out there. It's no longer one of those Chinese devices that are so bad. Actually, many people I know, in the place I live are using the Huawei phones, because of how cheap they can get.

We are expecting two devices the Huawei Mate 10 and the Huawei Mate 10 pro. The Mate 10 is expected to have a 5.9" LCD screen and a fingerprint scanner on the front while the Mate 10 Pro is expected to have something called an EntireView Display which will give us a 18:9 screen which is the norm nowadays. The Mate 10 Pro will come with a 6" AMOLED display of QHD+ resolution.

Also, a more premium Mate 10 Porsche Design will be joining the duo on stage. Last year, the Mate 9 Porsche Design was based on the Pro version, but featured a higher-quality build, so we expect something similar today.

The Huawei Mate 10 will come with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box and is supposed to have a 4000 mAh battery which is pretty decent for a mobile phone. It's also worth saying that Huawei confirmed that the Mate 10 will run the latest Kirin 970 chipset.

What is the Kirin 970 chipset?

It is a new chipset by HiSilicon which first appeared in Berlin at IFA 2017. It has an octa-core CPU with 4x2.4GHz Cortex-A73 and 4x1.8GHz Cortex-A53 cores, and a 12-core Mali-G72MP12 GPU.

The pricing:

The Huawei Mate 10 will come in three versions, the 4GB RAM  + 64GB of storage version for 650$, the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage version for 744$ and the 6GB of RAM with 265GB of storage for 850$.

The Pro version comes in four memory versions, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for $835,  6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for $941,  6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for $1042 and 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for $1138.
