Moto X4 Now Runs Android Oreo In India

Motorola is now picking up pace with updates. In the last week alone, Motorola has updated the Verizon Moto Z2 Force and the Moto X4 Android One to Oreo 8.0. The Lenovo owned company also started seeding the November security patch to the G5 Plus yesterday. The new member in line to get the Oreo treatment is the Moto X4 in India. Both the Android One Moto X4 as well as the standard Moto X4, have been updated to Android 8.0 and this is just in time for the New Year ahead.

The update comes in with the build OPW27.2 and is a hefty one as it clocks in a size of about 1.2GB.

The update is rolling out via OTA and if you haven't received the update notification yet, try checking for it manually by heading to Settings > About Phone > System Updates. If still the update doesn't appear, don't worry, it must be on its way. We recommend you to have more than 50% battery level before installing the update. Along with the Oreo goodies, the update also brings the latest December security patch to the device. Now let's see when the G series of Motorola will get the Oreo update.
