Xiaomi Releases Kernel Source Code For Mi Note 3

When it comes to releasing kernel source codes, Xiaomi isn't the best known. There are OEMs like OnePlus who release the kernel source codes shortly after launching their device and then there are companies like ZTE which share kernel source codes with developers before releasing a major Android update.

The Mi Note 3 was released back in September and now after three months, Xiaomi has released the Nougat based kernel source of the device. Kernel source codes help developers in building stable custom ROMs, custom kernels and custom recoveries.

If you would like to check out the kernel source code, you can do so from the link given in the source. At the time of writing this article, XDA did not have any forums for the Mi Note 3. Judging by that, there isn't any custom recovery available for the device. Since the kernel source code is now available, hopefully some developers will give their attention to the Mi Note 3 and the development for the device will begin soon.
