ZenFone 3 Max Is Being Updated With ZenUI 4.0



Asus started updating the ZenFone 3 lineup to ZenUI 4.0 three months ago. The update roll out commenced with the ZenFone 3 Zoom in September and now the ZenFone 3 Max is getting ZenUI 4.0.

Asus says that the update will be made available to everyone across the globe within the span of a week. The release notes only include the mention of an update to ZenUI 4.0.

You can check out the above video to get a glimpse of the new features introduced in ZenUI 4.0. With ZenUI 4.0, Asus has stripped down on bloatware. The number of inbuilt applications has been reduced from 35 in ZenUI 3.0 to only 13. Other features in ZenUI 4.0 include an AI powered gallery, twin apps, wallpaper slideshow and animated themes.

This update is based on Nougat. Asus has promised to upgrade the entire ZenFone 3 lineup to Oreo by the second quarter of the coming year.
