Amazon Is Charging An Inflated Sum Of $1500 For The Pixel XL
There is no doubt that the Pixel devices are one of the best smartphones out there in the market at the moment. Keeping that in consideration, the price of the Pixel devices is reasonable, especially the Google Pixel XL.
Even though Google seems to be dropping the price of the Pixel duo to make it possible for everyone to buy the Pixel phones, the Google Store has lately been running out of the stocks of the Pixel XL. Since the device is not available on the Google Store and is in great demand, consumers have to resort to other buying platforms such as eBay and Amazon for buying the phone. It is thus not unusual to see Amazon marketplace sellers listing items far well over MSRP when they're hard to come by, but this is Amazon asking $1,500 for a Pixel XL. And this is something that you can't expect from a shopping website like Amazon.
Pixel XL listings sold and shipped by Amazon are currently estimated at over $1,500 (plus more tax) for both black and white models that are in stock. The bright side? Well, you get free shipping. The same device costs $869 plus tax on the Google Store. This, to some extent is fair, but such a price inflation from Amazon is something that the people find ridiculous.
And as a result, the Pixel XL is currently withstanding at 2.5 out of 5 stars on Amazon. There are less than 20 pieces of each color in stock, but these prices have been up since the Pixel launched. If you ask for our advice on this issue, we suggest you to wait at least for some time before buying it at such a huge price. The device will be back in stocks at the Google Store again soon, so, instead of burning a hole in your pocket at the moment, it makes much more sense to me to buy something at $869, that at $1500.
