Samsung Galaxy Tab E with 9.6-inch display launched in Taiwan


Samsung launched a new Galaxy Tab-series tablet, Galaxy Tab E in Taiwan. Only the Wi-Fi version of the tablet was announced, the 3G and 4G version is also expected as well. A leather-like textured finish on the back of the tablet offers a better grip.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E features 9.6-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) WXGA TFT display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB RAM. The tablet comes with 8GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card and runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

Galaxy Tab E sports 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Micro-USB with OTG, Bluetooth and GLONASS. It is fuelled by 5000mAh battery, measures 241.9 x 149.5 x 8.5mm, weighs 490g and comes in White color.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab E is priced at TWD 6,990 (Rs. 14,000 | $226) and will go on sale in Taiwan later this month. There is no word on Global availability of the Galaxy Tab E.
