Telltale Games announces new Batman series, coming in 2016


Telltale Games revealed that it is working with Warner Bros. and DC comics on an interactive episodic game series based on Batman.

The episodic game series will release on consoles, PC, Mac and mobile devices. The official title and specific platform details of Telltale's Batman game is yet to be announced. The game was revealed at The Game Awards 2015 in Los Angeles.

According to Telltale, their Batman game will put you in the shoes of Bruce Wayne and you will have to deal with the duality of his nature. There are no details where or when in the Batman timeline, the game takes place

“This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games.

Telltale Games is a game studio which has found huge success adapting popular works like AMC's The Walking Dead, Fables, Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us and HBO TV series Game of Thrones. Their games, some of them based on TV series, are structured and released episodically, each consisting of a few hours of the overall story.

Interactive Entertainment. “We look forward to working with the team as they deliver a new interactive way for fans and gamers to experience the rich narrative world of Batman.”
