Xiaomi Mi Band 2 live image surfaces again

Xiaomi will once again take the wearables market by storm, as the brand  is expected to unveil the successor of the super successful fitness tracker Mi Band dubbed the Mi Band 2 on May 10. The Mi Band 2 was first teased by Xiaomi co-founder Lei Jun, and now the fitness tracker has shown itself in live photos once again.

Similar to Mi Band, the Mi Band 2 will also have a removable module unit that has to be fixed into the band to wear it. Earlier the module had LED light indicators, but the Mi Band 2 module unit has a display that shows time and battery status. It also expected to show daily steps, BPM and other fitness related stats.

In the image the module is placed alongside a yellow colored silicon band and the module unit in addition to display has a physical button as well. It is not known what functionality the button will offer.

The first Mi Band was priced at Rs. 999 ($15), but considering the addition of display and other features the Mi Band 2 is expected to priced a bit higher. We will know all the official details on specs, availability and pricing on May 10. Xiaomi will also introduced the Mi Max phablet and a couple of other devices on the same day.
