Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge Nougat beta will start on November 9

Samsung has announced a beta program to allow select Galaxy S7/S7 edge users to test Android 7.0 Nougat before its official roll-out. The beta program will begin November 9 and will likely cease around mid-December.

Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge models in the U.S, United Kingdom, South Korea and China will be eligible to enroll in the Galaxy beta program, that will let participants try out Android Nougat.

In the U.S, carrier variants from Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile are supported.  All unlocked models in the UK are supported while in South Korea, the KT, SKTelecom, and LG U+ variants of Galaxy S7/S7 edge will be able to take part in it. It's worth mentioning that Batman Injustice Edition and Olympic Game Edition will not be supported by the beta program.

To enroll to the beta program, Galaxy S7/S7 edge users will have to install Galaxy Beta Program app from the Galaxy Apps store and sign-in. Note that not everyone who enrolls for the beta program will be able to test Nougat on their device, as Samsung will select only a limited number of users.

Once selected users will be able to test Android Nougat on their device and provide Samsung with feedback about its performance, stability and usability.

Last year, Samsung had offered similar beta program for Marshmallow on Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. Earlier today LG started rolling out Android Nougat for the G5, while Sony is testing Nougat on Xperia X Performance.
