Xiaomi MI A1 reaches Europe


The Mi A1 was Xiaomi's first Android One smartphone, and shipped with stock Android instead of MIUI. It was launched in India at Rs. 14,999 and is already a popular device. It is also available in select Asian markets as well, where Xiaomi has its presence.

Now the Mi A1 has reached European Continent and will be available in Netherlands, Greece, Poland, Spain, Hungary, Russia, Bulgaria, Italy and Czeh Republic. Usually customers in these countries have to rely on third party store or import Xiaomi phone from China, but that is changing with the Mi A1. The prices are higher compared to India, due to high tax rate, but still good for a budget phone.

The phone is already on sale Netherlands for €260 (shipping 2-4 workdays), Greece at €284 and Poland at PLN 1,300 (€300).

For the rest of the region it will arrive next week. In Spain, the Mi A1 costs €228 (available 9th or 10th), in Hungary it is HUF 75,000 (€240) and Russia the price is RUB 19,000 (€280). It will be available in Bulgaria on October 12 for BGN 550 (€280), in Italy on October 15 for €220, and in Czech Republic on October 19 for a price tag of CZK (€260).

As a reminder, the Xiaomi Mi A1 features 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 12MP dual camera, 5MP front camera, fingerprint scanner and 3080mAh battery. It runs Android Nougat out of the box, and Xiaomi promises upgrade to Android Oreo and P.
