HTC Desire 816G With 1.7Ghz Octa-Core Processor Launched At Rs. 19990 In India

HTC has launched a refrehed version of HTC Desire 816G in India. The older version of HTC 816G featured a quad-core MediaTek processor and 8GB built in storage, the refreshed edition features a 1.7GHz octa-core processor and 16GB Internal storage. The handset is priced at Rs. 19,990. The company says that the "HTC Desire 816G is the best buy amongst big screen devices, packing powerful performance and innovative design perfectly at a great price."

Apart from a more powerful processor, all other specifications will remain the same as the older version. The Desire 816G features a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 screen resolution, 1GB RAM and runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

Camera features include 13-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor and flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, 3.5mm jack, and GPS/ A-GPS. It is powered by 2600mAh battery. It measures 156.6x78.7x7.9mm and weighs 158 grams.

Other specifications include accelerometer, proximity sensor, digital compass and ambient light sensor. It also features BlinkFeed news aggregator and dual-front speakers with BookSound.

HTC recently launched the Desire 526G+ Dual SIMin India. It features 4.7-inch qhd display, 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB/16GB internal storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front facing camera and 2000mAh battery. The device is priced at 10,400 for the 8GB variant and Rs. 11,400 for 16GB variant.
