Acer’s new Chromebox CXI mini Launched With Intel Haswell CPU


Acer added two new members to the Chromebox CXI mini PC series called Chromebox CXI-i34KGM and Chromebox XXI-i38KGM, both equipped with Core i3 processors to deliver more performance and better energy efficiency.

The Acer Chromebox CXI-i34KGM and XXI-i3KGM  features a 1.9GHz Core i4 4030U from the fourth-generation Intel Haswell lineup and 16GB RAM.

The only difference between the two models is that the Chromebox CXI-i34KGM packs 4GB RAM and XXI-i3KGM packs a 8GB RAM. Both Chromeboxes are capable of quick boot times of just 8 second.


Connectivity options include 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 3.0 ports (two of the them can be used to charge the phone, when Chromebox is on), a microSD card slot, and HDMI output with support for 4K displays.

The new Acer Chromeboxes measure just 6.8 x 5.5 x 2.3 inches in size.

The new Acer Chromebox CXI-i34GKM and CXI-i38GKM models are priced at $350 and $400 respectively.
