Acer S59 selfie phone spotted on GFXBench with 13MP camera

A new handset from Acer called S59 paid a visit to the GFXBench benchmark site, revealing key specs of the mobile device. It is likely to be a selfie centric handset as it has 13-megapixel camera on the front as well as at the back. The device will compete with Asus ZenFone Selfie, HTC Desire Eye and Micromax Canvas Selfie, all sporting the same front camera resolution.

Acer S59 features 5-inch 720p display and is powered by 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor paired with Mali T720 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB. The 13-megapixel front and rear camera camera supports 4k video recording. The device supports 4G LTE (Cat 4), NFC, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. It runs Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box.

The Acer S59 is expected to be announced during IFA, Berlin in September.
