LG announces global rollout plans for the 'all metal' Zero


Back in September LG launched a new mid range smartphone called Class with metal body in Korea. It was exclusive to Korean market and was priced at SKW 399,300 (Rs. 22,500). Now the company has revealed that the global variant of the Class, the LG Zero will launch in some global markets, starting from this week in Taiwan, followed by key markets in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

It will be released in the original name, Class in Germany, Korea, Russia and Singapore. Specifications may vary depending on the market and the pricing will be announced locally at the time of launch.

The LG Zero has a metal body and comes with curved glass design offering a 3D effect. It also has a powerful loudspeaker with 1W (watt) output that promises a clear sound.

The specs are similar to that of LG Class, but the LG Zero has 1.5GB RAM instead of 2GB RAM. It features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is equipped with 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor with Adreno 306 GPU. On-board storage is 16GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 2TB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

For imaging, it sports 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel front facing camera for taking selfies. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC. It is fueled by 2050mAh battery. The device weighs 142 x 71.8 x 7.4mm, weighs 147g and comes in Gold and Silver colors.
