Samsung outs S Console Gamepad app for Samsung smartphones to control games on Galaxy View tablet


Gamers might find Samsung Galaxy View tablet a little to large to play games on, which is why Samsung has released S Console Gamepad app that turns your smartphone into a Bluetooth virtual gamepad that can be used to control games on the 18.6-inch screen of Galaxy View.

The app supports six different gamepad layouts for different genres such as racing, first person shooter, RPG and more. Users can also customize and edit layout of the virtual game controller. It also offers support for more than 100 well-known gamepad optimised games on the big-screen tablet.

The setup is quite easy. You need to download the app, turn On the Bluetooth on their Samsung smartphones, and then pair to play games on the large-screen tablet. The app is compatible with Samsung Smartphones runs Android 5.0 Lollipop or above only. It is not know if the apps's functionality will extend to tablets other than Galaxy View.

To recap, the Samsung Galaxy View was launched in October and features 18.6-inch 1080p display, 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7580 SoC, 2GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, 2.1-megapixel camera, 4G LTE support and a 5700mAh battery.
