YU Yutopia launch date set for December 7

Micromax subsidiary YU Televentures has been teasing its upcoming flagship product, the Yutopia, for quite some time. Now the company has scheduled an event on December 7 for the launch of the Yutopia. The Yutopia is YU's first flagship product and will sport a premium metal build.

So far, YU has confirmed via various teasers on twitter targeting OnePlus and Apple. The Yutopia will flaunt a Quad HD display and will include 32GB internal storage, instead of 16GB which is the minimum inbuilt storage capacity given by Apple in its iPhones. Lastly, it will support Qualcomm's Quick Charge feature, which is not present in OnePlus 2. Last week YU took dig at Apple again in its latest teaser, hinting a larger battery capacity than the latest iPhone models.

There are no official details about YU Yutopia's specs, other than that mentioned above, but a YU device with model number YU5050 packing flagship-level specs was spotted on Geekbench and AnTuTu revealing most of the specs.

As per the listing, YU Yutopia (YU5050) will sport 5.2-inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) Quad HD display and equipped with 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994) processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, further expandable via microSD card slot. There is a 21-megapixel camera on the back accompanied by LED flash and 8-megapixel front facing camera. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based on Cyanogen OS 12.1 and supports 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.

Considering the possible specs, will YU's Yutopia be the flagship killer of 2015?
