HTC Desire 830 with 5.5-inch display, MediaTek Helio X10 SoC announced


Following the launch of S9, HTC has launched another mid-range smartphone under its Desire series dubbed Desire 830 in Taiwan. The phone is encased into a plastic body and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense 7 UI on top.

The HTC Desire 830 features 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and is powered by 2GHz octa-coreMediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795) processor backed by PowerVR G6200 and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card. 

For photography it gets 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, OIS, f/2.0 aperture and 4 UltraPixel front camera. Connectivity duties are handled by 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by 2800mAh battery and also houses dual-front firing speakers powered by BoomSound and Dolby Audio to offer immersive sound.

The HTC Desire 830 will go on sale in Taiwan from May 6 and costs NT $9,990 ($310 | Rs. 20,500). There is no word on global roll out yet.
