Samsung rolls out Android Marshmallow to Galaxy J5 2015


Samsung is now rolling out Android Marshmallow update to the affordable Galaxy J5 2015 smartphone in India. The update with build number J500FXXU1BPF4 weighs in at 874.17MB and is being rolled out over-the-air (OTA).

The update brings performance enhancements and a handful of new Android Marshmallow (v6.0.1) features like Google Now on Tap, Doze Mode, App Permissions and more for the Galaxy J5 2015. It also comes with a new vibration pattern for notifications and new TouchWiz user interface that provides enhanced usability and an update visual design.

If you haven't been notified of the update yet, you can do a manual check by going to Settings > About Device > Software update on you Galaxy J5 2015. We can also expect Galaxy J7 2015 to receive Android Marshmallow in the coming days.
