GoPro recalls 2500 units of Karma drone due to power failure issues

Action camera maker GoPro forayed into the drone market with the $799 Karma. However the drone is off to a troubled start.

The company has announced a complete recall of all the Karma drones it sold. GoPro said that it sold approximately 2,500 units of Karma since it was launched back in October 23. All of them are being recalled.

Explaining the reason for recall, GoPro says that a very small number of Karma drones are losing power during operation. So far, there have been no reports of injuries or property damage yet.

Owners of Karma have to return the drone to GoPro directly or wherever purchased for a full refund. The company will not offer replacement units. Once the issue is resolved, GoPro plans to resume shipment of Karma.
