Samsung rolls out Android Nougat to Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge

After concluding beta program last week, Samsung has finally started rolling out stable release of Android 7.0 Nougat update to its last years popular flagships Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge.

It will be initially available for users who were enrolled in the beta program and moved to the stable version, before being rolled out to regular users. Beta users will see a system update notification on their device.

The update size is 215MB and brings several UX and performance fixes, including improvements to notifications, multi-window mode, always-on display and enhancements to the system upgrade and app installation process. It also includes the January 2017 Android security patch.

The update should be available for non-beta users over the next few days and carrier variants in the coming weeks.
