Motorola outs four new Moto Mods including a GamePad mod


Motorola expanded its Moto line up with the Moto Z2 Play. Also the company announced 4 new Moto Mods including a gamepad, a new speaker module, a battery module and wireless charging modules. The new Moto Mods will be compatible with the entire Moto Z line and like the other Moto Mods, will connect via the magnetic pins at the rear.



The Moto GamePad mod attaches to the rear of the phone, and turns it into a handheld gaming console. It has physical button on the left and right side including dual control sticks, D-Pad and four action buttons for a true gaming experience. It packs a 1035mAh battery, to give the phone up to eight hours of additional battery life during gaming sessions.The Mod also includes USB Type-C port for charging and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.



JBL is refreshing the SoundBoost Moto mod with a new model. The JBL SoundBoost 2 now has water-repellent coating to withstand little spill or splash, three watt speakers, and 1000mAh battery, that is rated to deliver an additional 10 hours of battery life. There's also a built-in kickstand as well. It comes in Blue, Red and Black color, and has more premium design with fabric and improved contours for a better feel in your hand.

The new MotoTurboPower Pack has a built-in 15W fasst charging, and can charge the phone up to 50 percent in just 20 minutes. It also packs an additional 3490mAh battery to provide the Moto Z line extra juice for almost a day if the battery runs out. The Mod includes USB Type-C port and supports 30W TurboPower charger.



Lastly, there's a new set of Moto Style shell Mod in variety of finishes that lets you change the look of rear of the device. The Style Mod also supports wireless charging (up to 10W).

The new Moto Mods will be available globall this summer, with Moto TurboPower Pack starting at $80 (Rs. 5,000), Moto Style Shell with Wireless Charging at $40 (Rs. 2,500), JBL SoundBoost 2 at $80 (Rs. 5,000), and Moto GamePad at $80 (Rs. 5,000).
