Sony Mobile India launches Xperia XZ Premium for Rs. 59,990

Sony introduced mid-range Xperia XA, XA1 Ultra and the high-end Xperia XZs and Xperia XZ Premium at MWC 2017. Out of the lot, the Xperia XA and Xperia XZs are already available in India for Rs. 19,990 and Rs. 49,990 respectively.

Today Sony launched the premium high-end flagship, the Xperia XZ Premium in India for Rs. 59,990. It has the same camera sensor as the Xperia XZs, but packs Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform instead of last year's Snapdragon 820 chip. The Xperia XZ Premium launched is the dual-SIM variant.

The device boasts Motion Eye camera, which offer super slow motion video and Predictive Capture. The Motion Eye camera is capable of shooting 960fps video slow motion video, which allows slowing time 4x slower than the current camera phones standard. 

The Motion Eye camera is built around the 19MP f/2.0 camera featuring predictive auto-focus, Laser auto-focus, and an RGBC-IR sensor for true to life colors. The main camera is also capable of recording 4K video and includes SteadyShot-5 axis digital stabilization for shake free videos. For capturing selfies, it gets a 13MP 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 front camera with Exmor RS mobile image sensor.

It has 5.5-inch 4K HDR TRILUMINOS Gorilla Glass 5 display with X-Reality mobile picture engine and comes with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 4G LTE, USB Type-C, NFC, fingerprint scanner, waterproof body (IP65/IP68) and 3230mAh battery. It runs Android Nougat out of the box, and comes in Luminous Chrome and Deep Sea Black color.

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium will be available to pre-book between June 2 and June 11 via Sony Center, select mobile retail outlets and online on Amazon India. Those who pre-book the device will get a Sony SRS-XB20 wireless speaker worth Rs. 8,990 for free. Also as part of launch offer, Sony is offering three months of Sony LIV Premium subscription and 5,200 Modern Combat 5 credits.
