Xiaomi Releases MIUI 9 Global Beta 7.8.10 - Changelog & Download Links

Xiaomi has finally opened MIUI 9 to the public in the form of Global Beta builds. Prior to this MIUI 9 was in the alpha stage and was being tested by a selected group of people (MIUI forum moderators, team members). The Global Beta builds of MIUI 9 will be released in batches. The first batch of devices includes Xiaomi's flagship Mi 6 and it's budget spearhead of Redmi Note 4 (Qualcomm variant) and Redmi Note 4X. The second and third batches of devices are as follows.

The Global Beta builds are currently available for the first batch of devices - Mi 6, Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm and Redmi Note 4X. We will update this space as and when MIUI 9 beta builds become available for more devices. The beta builds for all the devices included in the first batch are based on Android Nougat.

As stated earlier, the Global Beta builds are currently only available for the Mi 6, Redmi Note 4 and 4X. It is recommended to have an unlocked bootloader for installing these builds. The other method to install these builds is through the EDL mode - this method is not recommended to be undertaken. It is also worth noting here that since these are beta builds they are susceptible to bugs. If you can't tolerate bugs it is advisable to wait for the stable update to roll out. 

In case you are running a previous Global Beta build (that is a beta MIUI 8 build), then you shall be receiving a notification about the update. You can install the update either through the OTA notification or using the links given below:
