HMD Confirms That The Nokia 7 Won't Be Coming To India

HMD Global unveiled the Nokia 7 in China two weeks back. It was expected that HMD would announce the phone in India yesterday along with the Nokia 2. As we know, only the Nokia 2 was announced yesterday.

Indian Express asked HMD's Chief Marketing Officer Pekka Rantala whether the Nokia 7 will be coming to India anytime in the future. In response, Rantala said, "Nokia 7 is designed for Chinese consumers, so currently we’ve no plans to bring it to India.”

The base model of Nokia 7 is priced at CNY 2499 (Rs. 24500 or $376). The Nokia 7 sports a 5.2-inch 1080p display along with Snapdragon 630, 4/6GB RAM, 16/5MP camera with Nokia's Boathie, and 3000mAh battery. The smartphone is powered by Nougat 7.1.1 and will be upgraded to Oreo in the future.
