Garmin vivofit 4 fitness tracker promises one-year battery life

Garmin has announced vivofit 4, the company's latest fitness tracker. The main highlight of the wearable is that it is capable of delivering one-year battery life. This is because the vivofit 4 packs two SR43 user-replaceable coin batteries. So there is no need to charge, and the fitness tracker is ready to go right out of the box.

The vivofit 4 sports an always-on color display, that's sunlight readable. The screen can display notifications from the paired smartphone, fitness data and weather updates.

Just like Garmin's other fitness tracker, the vivofit 4 can track your steps, distance traveled, sleep patterns and intensity minutes, while the Move IQ feature automatically tracks running, biking and swimming activities. It also offers features like alarm, countdown timer and find my phone. It is also waterproof, so it is swim- and shower-safe, and comes with interchangeable bands.

The fitness tracker's color display can be customized using Garmin Connect mobile app on your smartphone. The app allows you to set watch faces, color theme, personalized texts and widgets.

The vivofit 4 carries a price tag of $79.99 and is available in the U.S via Amazon in White (S/M), Limegreen Speckled (S/M) and Black (S/M and L) hues.
