Moto G5 Plus Gets November Security Patch

December is about to end and the Moto G5 Plus is getting a new update having the November security patch. The G5 Plus is assured of an update to Android Oreo but since Motorola isn't the quickest with updates, Oreo for the G5 Plus will take more time.

Motorola updates its devices with security patches on a quarterly basis. The G5 Plus got its Q3 update in October with the August security patch and now the G5 Plus is getting it's fourth quarter update in the form of the November security patch.

This update comes in with the build NPN25.137-92 and will jump up the security level to November 1, 2017. The update is also set to make device more stable which usually means some regular bug fixes.

The update is on a wide rollout now and in case you've not got the update notification till now, you can head over to Settings > About Phone > System Updates and check for the update manually therein. Let's hope that the next quarterly update for the G5 Plus will bring the Oreo goodness to the device, which in theory should have happened by now as the G5 Plus runs stock Android with very minute modifications from Motorola.
