[Update: OOS 5.0.3 Rolling Out Now] OnePlus Begins Rolling Out Oreo 8.0 To OnePlus 5T

OnePlus has apparently pulled down OxygenOS 5.0.2 and is rolling out OxygenOS 5.0.3 instead. The download links for this update can be found at the end of the article. The changelog for OOS 5.0.3 is same as that of 5.0.2. If you haven't received 5.0.2, you are likely to get 5.0.3 instead. The forum thread for OOS 5.0.2 is yet to be updated with info for OOS 5.0.3.

OnePlus 5T users are in for a treat. After OnePlus 3/3T and OnePlus 5, OnePlus is now updating the OnePlus 5T to Oreo 8.0. The update comes in the form of OxygenOS 5.0.2. The changelog for the update is present below:

Upgraded Android version to Oreo(8.0)

• New design for Quick Settings
• General bug fixes and improvements
• Applied CPU security patch: CVE-2017-13218

Applications

• Updated Launcher to v2.2
• Updated Gallery to v2.0
• Updated Weather to v1.9
• Updated File Manager to v1.7.6

Miscellaneous

• We've adjusted the volume for headsets to better align with European voltage regulations. It may seem a bit lower volume to some.
• We've added an APK called Mkey, this is a font resource that was provided officially for India for local font compatibility needs. This can be uninstalled by users if not needed or wanted, but we are required to provide it.

The update is currently being rolled out via OTA. As is the case with all OTA updates, this one too is being rolled out in phases. What this means is that a select group of users will get the update today, and the number of users in the group (who will get the update) will be increased each following day until every OnePlus 5T user has received the update. So you will have to wait for the OTA notification to reach your device.

The update size is 1688MB. You can either wait for the update notification to reach you or use OperaVPN (APK | Play Store) and set the region to as Canada or Germany. By doing this, you will get the update notification instantly. Alternatively, you can also manually update by flashing the files linked below.
