Motorola Moto X Play launched in India, pricing starts at Rs. 18,499
As expected, Motorola has launched the Moto X play in India. The phone comes with metallic accents, replaceable colors and flip shells, and a water-repellent coating. The version launching in India comes with dual SIM support that accepts nano SIM cards. It has Moto Voice, Moto Display, Moto Assist and Moto Actions.
Motorola Moto X Play features 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Inside there is an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 ( 4 x 1.1 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.7 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB RAM. It comes with 16GB or 32GB internal storage, expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
For imaging there is 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF (Phase detect Auto Focus) and 1080p video recording capabilities. On the front there is a 5-megapixel shooter for taking selfies. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.1. It is fueled by 3630mAh battery that promises up to 48 hours of battery life with mixed usage.
It also comes with TurboPower 25 Charger that will quick charge the device within minutes. It can be bought seperately for Rs. 1,000.
Moto X Style comes in Black and White colors. The 16GB model is priced at 18,499 and the 32GB model costs 19,999. Moto X Play will go on sale via Flipkart, Motorola's exclusive online retail partner, from midnight Monday. At the said price it becomes the most affordable phone to pack 1080p display and 21-megapixel main camera.
