ZUK Z2 to land next year, Android 6.0 based ZUI currently on beta

Lenovo subsidiary ZUK made its debut in the smartphone market with the launch of ZUK Z1 earlier this year in August in China and reached international market last month. Now the brand would be launching the successor of the ZUK Z1, the Z2 in 2016, probably in Q1 said the company CEO, but didn't reveal the date.

The Z1 was equipped with a Snapdragon 801 SoC. Rumors says that the ZUK Z2 will be equipped with Snapdragon 820 SoC, which seems unlikely considering the fact that ZUK’s debut model utilized Snapdragon 801 from February 2014 instead of a 2015 chipset.

In addition, the CEO announced that ZUK Z1 will receive a new ZUI version based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow in March 2016. The new ZUI is still in beta testing and the version's closed beta is expected to reach the end of December.
