Xolo 8X-1000i with octa-core SoC, 2GB RAM launched at Rs. 6,999

Xolo has listed a new feature rich, budget smartphone dubbed 8X 1000i on it's website. The phone is a follow up to the 8X-1000 which was launched in August last year, which was the brand's first device to run the custom Hive UI that was based on Android 4.4 KitKat.

The Xolo 8X-1000i features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is equipped with an 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592M processor further aided by 2GB RAM and Mali 450 GPU. On-board storage is 16GB, which can be further increased up to 32GB via microSD card. For imaging, it sports 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Exmor-R sensor, and the front facing camera is 2-megapixel. The dual-SIM phone supports 3G, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, but misses 4G LTE network support. It is fueled by 1920mAh battery, which promises 11 hours of talk time and 352 hours of standby time.

On Xolo's website the price of 8X-1000i is listed at Rs. 6,999. However, it is up for grabs on Snapdeal and Amazon India at varying prices.
