Acer Aspire S13 ultra-slim Windows 10 notebook announced

At its next@acer event in New York, Acer announced the Aspire 13, a ultra-thin Windows 10 notebook, that's 14.4mm thin and weighs 1.5kg.

The design uses aluminum on the top and bottom, but a nano-imprint patterning on the top cover to provide texture and a firm grip. It also uses diamond cut edging around the sides and touchpad that gives it a premium look.

The Acer Aspire S13 sports a 13-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display, with the option of touch/non-touch screen, and is powered by 6th generation Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processor paired with up to 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and up to 512GB SSD storage. Connectivity duties are handled by SD card slot, a USB 3.1 Type-C port, 2 x USB 3.0 sport, WiFi 802.11ac. The notebook promises 13-hours of battery life on mixed usage.

The Acer Aspire S 13 will be available in North America in May with prices starting at $699; in EMEA this month with prices starting at €699; and in China in May with prices starting at ¥5,499.
