Acer Switch Alpha 12 2-in-1 liquid cooled notebook announced

Acer at its next@acer event in New York, announced a new Windows 10 2-in-1 notebook, the Switch Alpha 12. It has a fanless design featuring Acer LiquidLoop cooling technology for silent and reliable operation.

The Acer Switch Alpha 12 features a 12-inch (2160 x 1440 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 6th generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3 processor with Intel HD Graphics 520, 4GB/8GB LPDDR3 SDRAM, and 128GB/256GB/512GB SSD.

The 2-in-1 includes a HD webcam, MicroSDXC slot, DisplayPort, an HDMI port, 2 x USB 3.1 Type C port and 3 x USB Type-A port. For wirelessless connectivity its supports dual-band 2.2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac/a/b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.

It offers an all day 8-hour battery life, and comes with a kickstand, attachable backlit keyboard and an optional Acer Active Pen with 256 levels of pressure support.

The Acer Switch Alpha 12 will be available in North America in June starting at $599 (Rs. 38,830); in EMEA in May starting at €699; and in China in May starting at ¥5,999. Acer says that exact specifications and prices will vary by region.
