LG G5 SE with Snapdragon 652 SoC, 3GB RAM breaks cover on official Russia site
LG has announced a toned down version of its flaghsip G5, the G5 SE. The phone is listed on the company's Russia website, but there's no word on price and availability. The G5 SE retains the G5's modular desingn, which lets you attact various modules called LG Friends, but gets a slight hardware downgrade to bring the price down.
The LG G5 SE is equipped with octa-core Snapdragon 620 SoC and 3GB RAM, as opposed to Snapdragon 820 SoC and 4GB RAM on G5. The rest of specs will be the same as G5. Surprisingly there is no 4G LTE support, as Snapdragon 652 is capable of supporting 4G LTE. Maybe, the G5 SE launching in Russia is a 3G variant.
The LG G5 SE sports an always-on 5.3-inch Quad HD IPS in-cell display and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the latest UX on top. It houses 32GB storage, which can be increased via microSD card (up to 2TB). It gets 16MP/8MP dual camera setup on the back, and an 8MP front camera. It is backed by USB Type-C port and supports NFC and USB Type-C port.
In addition to Russia, the LG G5 SE is also expected to be released in Latin America and Asia.
