Traffic Alerts In India Now Available Via Google Maps

Announced By Google, India will now receive Traffic Alerts once working under Navigation Mode in Google Maps. Sanket Gupta, Product Manager Google Maps said that the latest Maps app will help users to reach their destination quickly avoiding jams. Added, it will help users to find the ideal route the their destination with least delay.

Updated app will give out spoken alerts to users about the upcoming traffic situations, while on road users will be able to get instant information about the jams and approximately how much it will take to clear up and any type of route congestion alerts too, Not only this the app will also provide users with some or any alternate route if available and explaining why it is recommended. The traffic alerts feature was first released in US in May 2015 and it is company's strategy to expand the product to emerging markets that now includes India with this new update.
