Apple's Echo rival to reportedly come with built-in camera


A couple of days back it was reported that Apple is working on Amazon Echo rival, that will use Siri's intelligence to perform various activities. Now CNET is offering more details of Apple's smart home assistant.

According to CNET, Apple home assistant will have a built-in camera that will allow it to see the rooms surroundings and use facial recognition technology to recognize users as they enter the room. This would let the device to automatically pull up a user's preference like music and lightning they like. The report also mentions that Apple's smart home assistant could be released by end of 2016 and will most like be available in 2017.

Previously it was reported that Apple's smart home assistant will help users to take out day to day tasks like check weather, play music, set alarm, control smart home appliances and more. To perform various activities, it will come equipped with speaker, microphone and wireless connectivity.

Google last week, announced it own take on Amazon Eco called Google Home.
