Moto X Play gets support for Reliance Jio VoLTE in India via OTA update

Motorola is rolling out a new over-the-air (OTA) update for the Moto X Play in India that adds VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) support for Reliance Jio users. After the update you'll have to enable the "Enhanced 4G LTE mode" to get VoLTE, after which a VOLTE symbol will show up next to LTE on top. VoLTE will enable HD calling that offers improved voice call quality.

The Moto X Play VoLTE update 24.61.70.en.03 weighs in at 19MB in size, and also includes Android security update for May 2016 and stability improvements. If you have not yet received the update, you can flash the update zip manually from XDA here. The recently launched Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus have VoLTE built-in.

Currently the Moto X Play is available for Rs. 17,000 for the 16GB variant, and Rs. 18,500 for the 32GB variant in India. The specs include 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 615 SoC, 2GB RAM, 21MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 3630mAh battery and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow (have to be updated).
