Samsung Gear IconX are wireless earbuds with fitness tracking capabilities


Samsung, in addition to Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker, also introduced the Gear IconX wireless buds with fitness tracking capabilities. The wearable gets activated when you place them in your ears and is capable of tracking heart rate, distance, speed and calories, and syncs with S-health app via Bluetooth to see the stats on your smartphone.

The Gear IconX wireless earbuds features Voice Guide that offers voice feed back on your workout progress. It also works as a standalone music player, and you can swipe or tap the earbuds to control music and volume. By tapping and holding the touchpad on the earbud, you can launch activity tracking and receive real time status update, as well.

The Gear IconX is splash resistant (P2i nano coating, comes with 4GB storage which can store up to 1,000 songs and is backed by 47mAh battery. They come with a carrying case that packs 315mAh battery for charging the earbuds.

Just like Gear Fit 2, the wearable is compatible with phone running Android 4.4 and up, and have at least 1.5GB RAM.

The Samsung Gear IconX wireless earbuds will be available in Q3 2016 and comes in Black, Blue and White color with three sizes of eartips and wingtips. The details on pricing is not known.
