[UPDATED] Android Nougat 7.0 Update. Will My Device Get It?

In March, we had briefed you about the devices which will be getting the Android N update, along with the deices which might get the update. A lot has happened in the Android world in the last four months since that post which prompted us to get back to you with a newer and an updated post regarding the devices which will get Android Nougat 7.0.

Android Nougat Preview/Beta Builds

android-n-leadAndroid N Preview builds are currently available for the following devices: Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel C & General Mobile 4G (Android One 2nd Generation). Other OEMs such as Huawei and Sony had also released beta Android Nougat builds for their flagship devices, P9 and the Xperia Z3 respectively.

Nexus Devices

Clearly, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel C & General Mobile 4G (Android One Second Generation), Huawei P9 and Xperia Z3 will get the Android N update.
Nexus Sailfish and Marlin are yet to be released but sure to come out with Nougat!
You surely might be missing the Nexus 5 there and it's not there for a reason, the famous twitter leakster Evan Blass aka evleaks has posted and made it clear today that Android 7.o is coming out in August but not for Nexus 5 and that makes sense as we already mentioned back then that Nexus 5 has reached its update grabbing limit in November 2015. We really can't blame Google here as they have kept there promise and delivered it too in a better way because Nexus 5 has received many security patches even after November 2015. It's pretty obvious that the Nexus 4 won’t be getting the Android N upgrade.

Android One

Android One First Gen phones will also be getting the Android N update as will the Android One 2nd Gen users. This is because of a report on unbox.ph in which Lonson Alejandrino, Product Manager for Cherry Mobile confirmed that both the Cherry Mobile One (Android One First Gen) and Cherry Mobile One G1 (AAndroid One Second Gen) will receive the N update when it’s released later this year. (Report Link: http://www.unbox.ph/gadget/both-cherry-mobile-android-one-phones-guaranteed-to-get-android-n/). Also, Android N will be available earlier this year and thus, the Android One First Gen devices will get the N upgrade within the minimum support period of September 2014 to September 2016.

Thus, Symphony Roar A50, Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V, Spice Dream UNO, Mito Impact, Evercoss One X, Nexian Journey One, Cherry Mobile One, QMobile A1, MyPhone Uno, will get the Android N update. And, Lava Pixel V1, Infinix Hot 2 X510, Infinix Hot 2 X510, Bq Aquaris A4.5, Cherry Mobile One G1, i-mobile IQ II, General Mobile 4G, General Mobile 5 Plus, will also get the Android N update.Android One Second Generation and Android One Third Generation devices including Sharp Aquos 570SH will get the upgrade too.
