New Gigabyte Brix model with Apollo Lake chip announced

Earlier this month Gigabyte refreshed its Brix line-up of mini PCs with six new models featuring Intel's seventh gen Core Kaby Lake chips. Now the company has new Brix models with lower power Intel Apollo Lake chip.

The latest member is called Brix GB-BPCE-3350 and is powered by 6W Intel Celeron N3550 dual-core processor which supports up to 8GB RAM and has room for a 2.5-inch HDD or SDD.

It measures 4.5″ x 4.2″ x 2.2″ and is a barebone system, which means you'll have to provide your own Operating system, RAM and storage, but you get the case, processor, power supply, along with a wireless card with WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0.

The system also includes HDMI 2.0 and VGA ports, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet jack, headset jack and microSD card slot for connectivity.

Currently the pricing and availability details are not known.
