Android 7.0 Nougat Beta now available for Xperia X Performance

Sony has released Android 7.0 Nougat Beta to select Xperia X Performance owners who enrolled for the beta program. Currently the beta is open only for the single SIM variant of Xperia X Performance (F8131) across select regions.

The update comes with firmware build number 39.2.A.0.248 and brings a number of native Android 7.0 features such as split-screen and changes to notification panel, along with bug-fixes including the auto-rotation bug and improved touch sensitvity. However, there is not much changes in the user interface.

Sony has also added new options to its camera app like manual shutter speed control and manual ISO control at 23MP. The update also includes the latest STAMINA mode as well as October 1 security patches from Google. We can expect the public roll out of Android Nougat for Xperia X Performance soon.

For a quick recap, the Xperia X Performace is part of Sony's Xperia X line launched in February this year. The Xperia X Performance rocks waterproof body, 5-inch Full HD didsplay, Snapdragon 820 chip, 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, 23MP rear camera, 13MP front camera and 2700mAh battery. The phone is yet to be launched in India.
